5 DAYS TOUR FROM FES TO MARRAKECH

DAY 1: FES – IFRANE – AZROU – MIDDLE ATLAS MOUNTAINS – SAHARA DESERT:

Starting from your accommodation in Fes, our driver will transport you to the Merzouga desert in Moring via Ifrane, Azerou, the Middle Atlas Mountains, and the Sahara Desert on the first day of your tour. On the way, we’ll stop at Ifrane, which is sometimes referred to as Morocco’s Switzerland, so you can admire the picturesque town and snap some breathtaking photos. Our next stop is in the cedar forest of Azrou, home to a variety of playful monkeys.

After a long trek into the heart of the Atlas Mountains, we’ll have lunch in Midelt. Our next stop is at the TIZI N TALGHAMT pass, from whence we can see the Ziz Gorges and Ziz Valley in all their glory.

Our route to Erg Chebbi Dunes will take us through Aoufous and Erfoud, two cities that are rich in fossils. Come learn more about this unique art form while perusing a fossil craft class.

We will be able to check into your accommodation and have a delicious lunch while listening to traditional Berber music when we arrive to Erg Chebbi’s Merzouga Dunes. Enjoy the serene splendor of the desert at night from the comfort of our unique and charming hotel.

DAY 2: AN EXPLORATIVE JOURNEY OF THE DESERT – VISIT NOMADS – CAMEL TREKKING – OVERNIGHT DESERT CAMP:

We head to Khamlia village after a delicious breakfast, where you may listen to traditional Gnawa music set to mesmerizing rhythms.Our route will then take a detour via the dunes on an unpaved road, where we will stop for tea with nomadic Berber families. As part of this immersive experience, you will get the opportunity to have a delicious Berber pizza lunch while learning about a different culture.

Prepare for a breathtaking camel ride into the heart of the dunes to witness the breathtaking sunset after a relaxing afternoon at the hotel.

The camp will greet you with mint tea, and then you may unwind in your individual tent with a bathroom and shower while you watch the Sahara come alive at night. As you enjoy your dinner under the twinkling Saharan stars, the band playing music around the fire will set the mood.

DAY 3: MERZOUGA – RISSANI – ARFOUD – TODGHA GORGES – DADS VALLEY:

On the third day, you’ll go via Merzougha, Rissani, Arfoud, Todgha Gorges, and Dads Valley.
Do yourself a favor and rise early today to witness the breathtaking morning, when the dunes transform into a mesmerizing spectacle of light and shadow. After you’ve had breakfast, you’ll ride your camel back to Merzouga to meet your driver and then head to Dades Gorges.

Along the way, we’ll stop at the lively Rissani traditional market. On market days (Sundays, Tuesdays, or Thursdays), the streets come alive with a kaleidoscope of smells, colors, and sounds.

The next stop on our route is Arfoud, where you get the opportunity to see petrified marble on exhibit in a workshop. As we continue our drive through the picturesque Touroug and Tinjdad palm plantations, we will stop for lunch.

After that, we’ll head to the Todgha Gorges in a vehicle. In A River, you may go rock climbing in some stunning canyons with red cliff sides. Do not rush your exploration of the gorges; instead, take your time and enjoy the stunning scenery as you go.

Our journey to the Dades Valley begins in Boumalne Dades. Along the way, you’ll pass by some famous rock formations called “monkey fingers” and a charming spot on a mountain with stunning views of the Dades Valley. Finally, head back to your hotel for dinner and call it a day.

DAY 4: DADES VALLEY – ROSES VALLEY – PALM GROVES OF SKOURA – OUARZAZATE:

After breakfast, we will go to Kalaa Magouna to see the rose valley. On day four, we will also visit the palm forests of Skocha and Ouarzazate. Make sure you don’t miss the May Rose Festival, when vendors display a wide variety of rose-themed goods, from décor to oil and perfume.

We depart from Skoura after lunch and make our way through its palm groves to Ouarzazate, stopping along the way to see the Amridil Kasbah. You may spend the night in a hotel and see the Taourirt Kasbah and movie studios.

DAY 5: OUARZAZATE –  AIT BEN HADDOU –  HIGH ATLAS MOUNTAINS – MARRAKECH:

In the fifth day, you will go via Ouarzazate, Ait Ben Haddou, the High Atlas Mountains, and Marrakech.
Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a famous walled town and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is where we will be traveling today.

This renowned Kasbah has been featured in several films and television series, such as Alexander, Combatant, The Mummy, and Diversion of Positions of Authority.

After touring this famous kasbah, we head to Marrakech via the Tizi-N-Tichka pass and the High Atlas Mountains.

We will stop for lunch and photo ops at scenic overlooks along the way. We complete the day by spending the night at a riad in Marrakech.
